MEET BARRY

Barry Beauchamp is a proud Eastern Shore native and lifelong resident of Salisbury, Maryland. He has served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates since September 10, 2024, representing District 38B. In the legislature, Barry is a member of the Appropriations Committee, where he serves on the Education & Economic Development Subcommittee and the Oversight Committee on Pensions. He also served on the State Board of On-Site Wastewater Professionals.

Barry’s life reflects hard work, service, and the pursuit of the American Dream. One of six children, he grew up in a blue-collar family—his mother worked at Folgers, and his father worked as a mechanic and truck driver. He spent much of his childhood at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs in Salisbury, which played a key role in shaping his early years.

Dedicated to serving his community, Barry spent 25 years with the fire department, rising to Assistant Chief and serving as an EMT. That experience gave him a deep understanding of public safety, teamwork, and the challenges facing first responders.

An entrepreneur at heart, Barry started his first business as a teenager, mowing lawns around his neighborhood. In 1985, he founded Beauchamp Brothers Construction, where he still serves as Owner and CEO. He has also been a licensed real estate agent since 1987. His decades of business leadership have given him firsthand experience in creating jobs, managing growth, and navigating economic challenges—perspectives he now brings to the State House.

Barry is a graduate of James M. Bennett Senior High School and attended Salisbury University for two and a half years, where he studied Business Administration to strengthen his understanding of business management and leadership.

He has also served as Chair of the Wicomico County Republican Central Committee, where he has been an active voice for his community since 2022. Barry is passionate about protecting individual rights, strengthening local economies, and ensuring future generations have the same opportunities he worked hard to create for himself.

Barry is married with two children and five grandchildren, and he is deeply committed to building a Maryland that works for every family.
